The Hourbike system
Hourbike uses the latest GPRS technology to enable the automated hire and return of bikes. All rentals are automatically recorded centrally as they happen so that bike availability is always current—giving members and partners alike complete rental availability at any point in time. This also gives us the knowledge of who is using the system at any given time - especially who has rented bikes should they not return!
Each Hourbike unit has undergone extensive testing for protection against temperature, rain and vandalism. The system is constantly undergoing further develompment to add features as our customers require, but the core system is proven and has been in operation for many years.
